Alonzo H. Hatch, my great-grand uncle, was a popular concert vocalist and comic opera performer with several opera companies, including D'Oyly Carte. He eventually organized the Alonzo Hatch Electro Photo Musical Company and toured the United States.

His photograph shows him in costume as Ralph Rackstraw in "H.M.S. Pinafore" during D'Oyly Carte's 1882-83 season.

Alonzo was also a Civil War veteran, having served in Company C of the Illinois 67th Infantry Regiment

Children:
Don Quincy Hatch (1895-1968)
Alonzo H. Hatch (1897-1982)
Dorothy Hatch Kennedy (1899-1994)
