Daughter of William "Spencer" Hevar Bair and Jessie Orma Coe-Bair. Cora Ann Bair-Mitchell is the third out of four children. She is the sister to Mildred "Milly" Bair-Zea, John Bair and Robert George Bair.

They drove in their car camping along the way to Oregon from Indiana in approx. the early 20's. She arrived in Oregon and met Mark Edward Mitchell and wed on Oct 24th, 1925. They had three sons Robert, Jack and Nick.
They would have been married 50 years.

Gramma was always tickled to see her 6 grand children. She had a special giggle when we would arrive! She was dainty, kind and a sweet, never raising her voice to us kids, ever! "Hold your horses" she would say, if we wanted something in a hurry.
We all would go every Sunday when we were young and she always would have homemade cookies in the "Pinocchio" Cookie Jar ready and waiting for us. We had to stand on our tiptoes and reach as hard as we could to get that long nose of his! Every week it was a different kind of cookie.
I miss her very much. I wished I knew her and her family more in depth now, now only remembering bits and pieces when she spoke of them. I didn't know. It saddens me that I don't.
