Sarah's parents are likely William H. Flowers and Henrietta Caroline Kuykendall. William H. Flowers died before 1865 and Henrietta remarried and her family relocated to Rockwall County, Texas before 1877. This is a perfect fit for Sarah's obituary. Update 03/10/2023 : A cousin has come forth with handwritten letters from Lillie Smith, stating that "Syntha died young", and that Henrietta was a widow when she remarried. Although we know that William Flowers ultimately survived, it now makes sense as to why there was no divorce decree.
