Darren Ray Morrison, 39, of Peotone, IL passed into his new life at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee, IL. on 4 Jan 2010. He was born 23 Aug 1970, the son of Don H and Sharon A. Morrison.

After graduating from high school, Darren began working for Kulacz & Sons Builders. Leaving that job, he took a position at Bimba Manufacturing. Disliking factory work, and always a restless spirit, he left that job and joined his Uncle Wayne, owner of "The Pitts" Restaurant in Monticello,IN where he became a very proficient cook. He learned how to crack six eggs at one time, three in each hand, without leaving a speck of eggshell in the eggs. During the busy summer weekends, he would put on a "show" for people who had come in just to watch him crack eggs. Darren also worked in the sawmill business, clearing and cutting trees into proper sized lumber. He was employed with Rose Acre Farms before he took a job in Logansport, IN. with "Sand It," a sandblasting company. He then moved to West Lafayette, IN., where he was employed with "Parts Is Parts," another sandblasting company. Moving back to the Monee, IL. area, Darren was employed with the Forest Preserve District of Will county on a part-time basis.

His hobbies included weight lifting, hunting, fishing, and bowling. He enjoyed watching professional sports, the history and military channels on TV as well as a variety of music. He loved animals of all types, and would go out of his way to care for an injured animal, or one that was in need. Surviving Darren are both his parents, his step-mother Susanne Lynne Morrison, a younger brother, Scott, from Minooka, IL., and a daughter, Kareina Emily Morrison of Logansport, IN. He is also survived by a much cherished friend, Maria D. Martinez.
