My mom was born in Bishopville South Carolina in 1912. She and dad moved to North Charleston at the out break of World War 2. Wanting to do her part in the war effort mom went to work at the Charleston Navel Base and was assigned to the ammo assembly plant where she worked until the end of the war. Several years later I was born. She and dad continued to live in North Charleston for the remainder of their lives. They were married for 55 years. When my dad died I convinced her to move in with me and my daughter where she brought love and joy to our home. She was truly the best Mom a son could ask for. Her granddaughter Stephanie brought so much enjoyment to her life. We miss her so much.
