Rev. E.F. Burns married Dorothy Virginia Stanley November 27,1935. He was 23 years old and she was 13 years old. They met and lived in Tennessee and later moved to Arkansas, Missouri and Oklahoma. They had 4 sons Hershall Udell, Harvey Hugh, Jerry Arthur, Harold Eugene. and 6 daughters Alma Earnestine, Christine Ida, Alice Faye, Betty Joyce, Wanda Sue, and Reba Ann. They also have as of today 28 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. Eugene Burns and Virginia after 37 years of marriage were later divorced in 1972. Eugene Burns lived in Bristow, Oklahoma, at the time of his death. He died in the Bristow hospital of a heart attack at the age of 62.
