After spending some years in the United States (1956-1962), Karl-August Beck was chairman of the Gerometta Construction Company in Ebingen/Germany. After the liquidation of Gerometta he founded a firm, that first sold windows, garages and house parts in 1967. In 1980 he started to plan and sell industrial buildings. Until his death he was building about 300 factorys and buildings of all kinds. His firm still exists in form of an architectural office and is lead by his only son Andreas.
For public proposes he also builded a wonderful nature-pond in Albstadt. It was his dream to give the joy of nature to other people.
