A.L. Moore was the 3rd child of 6. Married to Sarah C. South on Aug. 13 1938 in Sweet Hall,VA. They had 3 daughters Dorothy Ann, Audrey Jane, Marian Elizabeth and 1 son Albert Lee Moore. He had 8 grandchildren. He was the inventor of the Automatic Dollar Bill Changer, Counterfeit Bill Detector, a machine that could sort a pile of paper money by denomination, a device that would turn on a radio or television when a civil alert is sounded, a control that could automatically slow down a car, and many other inventions. Mr. Moore went only to the 3rd grade and became a self taught TV repairman in the 1940s. Mr. Moore was truly a man before his time
