Yellowstone Pete was a traveling man and he had only been in Black Canyon, Arizona for a day when he had a heart attack on Main Street. He really didn't have a permanent residence since packing up his mule team and getting his covered wagon ready to hit the road in the late 1940s to early 1950s; after that Pete traveled all over the western United States and loved it. In the beginning his first wife, mother of his children, traveled with him and after she passed he traveled alone until he married my grandmother, Evelyn in June 1960. They were married at Buckskin Joe's (a tourist attraction in Colorado). The two of them traveled for a couple years before divorcing; Pete set off on his own once again.
