Born to Michel and Maude Ferrara. She married James Godsil, Later married Robert Shane. She had one daughter Sallie Conlin, four sons Donald, James, John, and William Godsil. She was survived by two brothers Richard and James Banks, and three sisters Hazel Leaf, Myrtle Potter, and Virginia Gerlach. 22 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Three brothers and one sister preceded her in death. She worked in production at Gale Products, was a cook at the Elks Club, and a waitress at the former Sheraton Hotel. She was a member of East Galeburg Community Chapel, and a former membor of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, where she was active with the Altar and Rosary Society and the Third Order of Carmelites.
