Julia was the daughter of John Gallas and Mary Golic born on Jan. 9, 1904 in Oconto Falls, Wi. Married John Konitzer on Nov. 8, 1921 in Oconto Falls, WI. Their first born child did not survive. They had a son, Gordon and six grandchildren.

John and Julia lived in Menasha, Black Creek and many Eastern States. They returned to Oconto Falls and purchased the late George Burton farm, John's grandfather's farm. They operated a dairy farm for many years. Julia worked as a nurse's aide for twelve years at Community Memorial Hospital and was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church.

Like her husband, Julia died from cancer.
