Reedie Othel Barrow was born in Georgia in 1906 to Marion Alton Barrow and Mary Elizabeth King Barrow. In 1913, his little sister Ruby Barrow was born, and he loved being a "big brother" to her. Sadly, Ruby passed away in 1918 after becoming ill with Whooping Cough. Two other children were born into the family after Ruby's death: Doris Novalene Barrow and a still living daughter. Reedie married Mabel Johnson, and they had four children: Durell Barrow and three still living daughters. On July 25, 1954, Reedie passed away. He was buried in the cemetery of Antioch Baptist Church in Haralson County, Georgia.
