Howard Coles (my Dad - or Buddy to most everyone) was born in 1930 in Waukesha Wisconsin, the son of Lesle Vane and Alma Westwick Coles. He had an older sister, Muriel and an older brother, Lesle (Stub). His parents would go on to have two more daughters, Marjorie and Marlene. Dad attended high school in Waukesha but greater horizons called so Dad joined the Navy in 1948 and served on the USS Juneau CLAA-119 during the Korean conflict. After he was honorably discharged, he married Joyce Kosbiel (my Mom) on December 25, 1952. They went on to have four children, Craig, Marie, Charles, and me. Dad worked for the FAA at the Indianapolis airport as a Technician, retiring in 1988. In his spare time Dad liked to build houses, golf, and do wood working. In his later years, Dad liked to go to the local Y and attend water aerobics classes and go for walks in the park. He is greatly missed.
