Archie was the third born in to a large family of 12 siblings. Nine of who survived to adulthood. He grew up during the middle of the depression in Malpais Union New Mexico. While living in the difficult financial situation in which his family was in he learned "To make Due" as he called it which taught him to make things work against all odds.
He was a true "Lady's Man in his Youth."
He served in WWII as a Army Military Police Officer (MP) and worked in the Military Working Dog Program. He loved training dogs(Especially German Shepard's)and had a unique touch with the dog's as if they both understood and responded to each other. He also loved to tell stories of his boxing days while in the military one in which he was so proud of. His favorite sport was watching boxing on TV. He loved to critique any boxing match like he was the trainer himself.
He worked as a Police Officer in Woodlake California,and ran for public office as" Constable" in 1965 but lost. Archie then went back to work for the Government again. He was hired as a mechanic at Sharps Army Depot in French Camp California then transferred to Veterans Hospital in Palo Alto California. He was hired as a Medical Repair Technician one in which he loved working with the Physicians and Dentist's. He was known to be able to "Fix Anything" as they would say. He even came up with two unique designs that was patented "but" because it was designed on Government time the patent royalties were not his.
He was know as the one you would call to help when one's car would break down The joke was " All Archie needed was Duct Tape and Bailing Wire to fix any mechanical failure" until the situation changed to fix it properly. He loved what we fondly called Tinkering on any mechanical device.
He raised his children with a firm hand and was not known for his bedside manners, but he loved all his family in his own unique way. Many knew that if they need to hear the truth he was the man to talk to. During his retirement he loved to rise early like clock work at 4am drive down to the coffee shop and talk politics for hours. His favorite quote was when he returned home from the cafe and someone would be leaving for work at 8am he would smirk and say "I have gotten in a half a day's work all ready."

Archie married Dorothy "Kagy" Waddle and had four children together.

Archie Died of a Sudden Heart Attack in the early hours of November 12, 1989.
His death was a shock for he just passed a full medical physical two weeks prior to his death.


Archie was my father and as the author of this tribute I want him to be remembered. He was a remarkable man who deserved so much more in his life. I will never forget you Dad!!
