Leroy L. Weaver Of Wellesley. October 12, 2010. Husband of the late Rita M. (Carman). Mr. Weaver was a decorated Veteran of the United States Army Air Force, having flown a B-26 aircraft during the European Air Offensive and at Normandy. Among his many commendations, he was awarded both the Distinguished Flying Cross and Air Medal with six Oak Leaf Clusters. In 1949 Mr. Weaver joined the Wellesley Police Department and rose through the ranks to become the town's fourth Chief of Police serving as Chief from 1973-1986.
