Lenox "Link" was the son of Robert L. Fullerton and Sarah Jane (Fisher). He was named after his maternal grandfather, Absalom Lenox Fisher, and went by the nickname of "Link". He married Nancy Jane Groom on March 29, 1871 in Appanoose Co., IA. She was the daughter of Peter Groom and Martha Ann Shoemaker. To this union ten children were born; Cora Ellen, William "Henry", Harrison Edgar, Sarah Jane, Martha Ann (d. in childhood), Frances Marion (twin to Kate, died in infancy), Mary Catherine "Kate", Alice "May", Maude Pearl, and Minnie Oma "Omie".

Lenox made his living by working in a sawmill and farming. After a brief trail run homesteading in Laramie Co., WY., Lenox and his wife moved back to Grant City, MO. to be near their daughter Cora McKim. Five of his daughters stayed on to homestead in Laramie Co., WY. and became pioneer families of Cheyenne.

My great great grandpa was a devout Christian all his life. His last words were to his wife, "Jane, we must prepare to go home." He shares a headstone with his wife.
