Mrs. Loretta Johnson, 98, Tyler, died October 18, 2001, in Tyler, Texas. She was born March 12, 1903, St. Patrick, Missouri, and was the daughter of James and Mary Ann Riney Ahern. She was married to Jacob B. Johnson. Mrs. Johnson was a housewife and a member of Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Survivors include seven sons James B. (Mickey) Johnson and wife Jean; Howard Johnson and wife Marie; Raymond Johnson and wife Jo Ann; John L. Johnson and wife Adele, Eugene Johnson and wife Tommie all of Tyler, Texas; Kenneth Johnson and wife Marilyn, Huntsville, Texas; Michael Johnson and wife Jo Ann, Ft. Worth, Texas; one daughter Janet Johnson, Tyler; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband and daughter, Rosemary Johnson. Visitation was 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 19, 2001 at the Lloyd James Funeral Home, Tyler, Texas. Rosary was recited at 8:00 p.m. Funeral services were October 20, 2001, a mass was held at 2:00 p.m. at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception with Monsignor Joe Strickland officiating. Burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Tyler, Texas, under direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home, Tyler. Acolytes were grandsons David Johnson and Mark Johnson.
