Bertha Frieda, Seven child of Eight, Twin to Brother Albert, of Hermann and Ernestine (Rathel) Zessin.

Sister of Louise (Dittberner), Rosetta (Boysen, Oscar, William, Herman, Lillie (Sattler), and Albert Zessin.

Wife of Arthur Eucker.

Mother of Eight children: Eldor, Violet (Droescher), Elaine (Schulz), Norman, DuWayne, Betty (Bachman), Donnie Eucker and Donna (Frank).

Bertha F. Eucker
Services were held Wednesday, May 26, 1993 for Bertha Frieda Eucker, 94, at Christ Lutheran Church with interment in St. John's Cemetery in Green Garden.
Reverend Walter E. Buss officiated. Hymns were sung by the congregation, Starla Landkarmer was organist.
Bearers were Marvin Freudenburg, Dale Eucker, James Schulz, Dennis Eucker, Darrell Eucker, Robert Bachman, Brian Frank, Mark Freudenburg, Milan Freudenburg, Merle Freudenburg, Myron Freudenburg, Leslie Schulz, Larry Schulz, Jerry Schulz, Darwin Eucker, Donovan Eucker, Rich Eucker, and Richard Bachman.
Visitation was held from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
She died at Columbus Community Hospital on May 23, 1993.
She was born May 19, 1899, southwest of Madison to Herman and Ernestine (Rathel) Zessin. She was Baptized at St. John's Lutheran Church in Green Garden and Confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Madison. She attended Trinity Parochial school in Madison.
On February 28, 1924 she married Arthur Eucker at St. Paul's Church in Lindsay. He died May 19, 1984.
They farmed four years at Lindsay then southwest of Madison. She lived three years at Countryside Home in Madison.
In 1961 she joined Christ Lutheran Church in Madison. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Ladies Aid and a member of the Residers Club.
She is survived by three sons, Norman and Eldor of Madison, and DuWayne of Norfolk, four daughters, Mrs. Arnold (Elaine) Schulz, and Mrs. Milton (Violet) Droescher, both of Madison, Mrs. Lyle (Betty) Bachman of Fremont, and Mrs. Arnold (Donna) Frank of Denver, Colo.; Numerous sisters, 30 grandchildren, 56 great granchildren, one great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, five brothers, three sisters, and one grandson.
