Marvin is my uncle that I never got a chance to meet. He was my mom's brother and the only son born to the Haussler's. My mom was 7 months pregnant with my oldest brother when Marvin was killed. My brother was given the middle name of Marvin in memory of our uncle.

Emmett Youth, 19, Home on Leave, Dies In Crash
A 19 year old Emmett youth, home on leave from the U S Navy, was killed Sunday evening in a one-car accident two miles north of Emmett.
Dead is Marvin Charles Haussler, route 2, who was a passenger in a car driven by Ray Edward Kilgore, 19, of Harwick, PA, also on leave from the Navy, according to the Gem county sheriff's office.
The sheriff's office was unable to give the identity of a girl who also was a passenger in the vehicle. Neither she nor Kilgore was injured in the accident, which occurred at 7:10 p.m. Sunday at Sanders corner on highway 52, north of Emmett.
Sheriff's officers said the vehicle, traveling north, left the highway, hit loose gravel and turned over. Beatty chapel ambulance took the injured man to the Emmett hospital, but he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Haussler is survived by his parents, Mr and Mrs Clarence Haussler of Bremerton, Wash; and two sisters, Mrs Evelyn Nebeker and Everdena Haussler, both of Emmett.
Services will be announced by the Beatty chapel.
**Correction** his parents are from Emmett - Not Bremerton, WA
