His funeral will be a memorial service at 11 a.m. Friday, May 20, 2011 in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel and Rev. Tab Whitley will officiate.
Born Nov. 19, 1961 in Stanly County, he was the son of living Clad Joseph Huneycutt and Betty Smith Huneycutt
He was educated at West Stanly High School and was a Correction Officer at Albemarle Correctional Institute
He was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church and recently rededicated his life at Charity Baptist Church.
He was a UNC Tarheels fan and he enjoyed riding his motorcycle, spending time with his family, and spending time with his fiance, Kathy, and his companion Harley, his yellow lab.
Survivors include a son, Cody Dustin Tucker of Stanfield; a sister, Lisa Love and husband, Todd, of Oakboro; and fiance, Kathy Teeter of Albemarle.
The family will receive friends Friday at Stanly Funeral Home immediately following the Memorial Service.
The family requests that Memorials be made to Lakeview Baptist Church, 32496 Pennington Rd, Albemarle NC 28001

Sixty-two-year-old Larry Dennis Hardee was released from jail Wednesday after posting $20,000 bond on charges of felony driving under the influence with a death and failure to yield the right of way.
Authorities say 49-year-old Rocky Lane Huneycutt of Albemarle, N.C., died Tuesday night after his motorcycle was involved in a crash with a truck in North Myrtle Beach. Horry County Deputy Coroner Tony Hendrick says Huneycutt died from head and chest injuries.
City records show Hardee was a Myrtle Beach police officer for 21 years before retiring in 1996.
Two bikers have died during the Cruisin' the Coast Spring Bike Rally, which started Friday.

A former Myrtle Beach police officer was sentenced Monday to eight years in prison after he pleaded guilty to charges connected to the death of a motorcycle rider killed during the 2011 annual Harley Davidson rally, according to officials.
Larry Dennis Hardee, 63, of North Myrtle Beach, pleaded guilty to felony driving under the influence with death and Circuit Court Judge Edward Cottingham sentenced him to eight years in prison, said Jimmy Richardson, 15th Circuit Deputy Solicitor. Because of the charge, Hardee is not eligible for parole and he must serve at least 85 percent of the sentence.
The charge carries a sentence of a mandatory minimum of a year in prison to a maximum of 25 years, Richardson said.
Nancy Livesay, an assistant solicitor who prosecuted the case, recommended a sentence cap of 10 years in prison. While Hardee's attorney, Ralph Wilson described Hardee's various illnesses and said any sentence will result in him dying in prison.
Hardee was charged May 17, 2011, following a crash that killed motorcyclist Rocky Lane Huneycutt, 49, of Albemarle, N.C., during the annual Harley Davidson motorcycle rally. Hardee had been free on $20,000 bail since his arrest.
The crash happened about 5:30 p.m. May 17 in the westbound lanes of Sea Mountain Highway near Hill Street in North Myrtle Beach, according to authorities. Huneycutt, who worked as a correctional officer since 2003 at the Albermarle Correctional Institution, died of head and chest injuries at Seacoast Medical Center in Little River.
Hardee worked as a police officer at the Myrtle Beach Police Department from July 1975 until June 1996 when he retired as a lieutenant, according to city records. He did not have a prior criminal record.
Hardee was given a field sobriety test at the scene before he was taken into custody, according to the initial police report. Hardee was taken to the North Myrtle Beach jail following the crash but refused to take a Breathalyzer test. Hardee then was taken to a hospital to have blood drawn and was later returned to jail, according to authorities.
Officers interviewed witnesses at the scene and learned Huneycutt was driving west on Sea Mountain Highway at a safe speed while Hardee was going east and tried to make a left turn onto Hill Street, according to the report.
Huneycutt's silver Harley Davidson motorcycle struck the right front quarter panel of Hardee's burgundy Ford F-150 truck. Huneycutt was thrown from the motorcycle upon impact.
Witnesses reported the traffic signal was green at the time of the crash and Hardee turned in front of Huneycutt's motorcycle, according to the report. Huneycutt's silver Harley Davidson motorcycle struck the right front quarter panel of Hardee's burgundy Ford F-150 truck.
Huneycutt had been in town for the annual spring rally with friends at the time of the crash. He was supposed to marry his fiancée in April, friends and family said at the time of his death.
His mom, Betty Huneycutt, said her son loved riding his motorcycle.
"He was an outgoing, all-around fun person," said Betty Huneycutt at the time of his death. "He loved horses ... and loved the Tar Heels."
