Son of Johnson T. Overbey and Malinda Victoria Jenkins. Brother to Garland and Carl. In 1946, Cecil married Hazel Cress in Topeka, Kansas. They had met at a USO dance in Topeka. After they were married they made their home in Kansas City, Missouri. They had 3 daughters, Marylinda, Alice and Terry. After some time Cecil and Hazel separated and he returned to his childhood home in Lyles, Tennessee. After a round with TB, he spent the rest of his life enjoying his favorite pasttimes. Cecil loved to fish and hunt, and also loved to sit around at the local cafe or at the garage talking with his friends. Cecil lost his life to cancer. He was a World War II Veteran.
