Mary C. Bridges was born 26 Jan 1840 in Greenville County, South Carolina, to Jonathan Bridges (1814-1880) and Mary Huldah McDonald (1823-?).

She married Francis Marion Babb on 1 Nov 1860 in Dalton, Georgia. They had 8 children:

2. Georgia Ann Babb born 26 Sept 1868
3. Artemissa Jane Babb, born 6 Oct 1869
4. Mary Angies Babb, born 1874
5. Emma Rosalie Babb, born 18 Nov 1876

She died on 9 Mar 1903 at Mill Creek, GA, and is buried in the Mill Creek Cemetery next to her husband.
