My mother remembered walking out to the graveyard with her father on Sundays, but when I was looking for him it was overgrown some and we never found a marker. The cemetery had grown also from when she was a child and the edge was not the same.
DEATHS REPORTED THIS WEEK
Andrew Jackson Snelson died Friday in this city of paralysis. Mr. Snelson had been a sufferer from this trouble for three years, a portion of his time being helpless. He was buried Sunday afternoon, the funeral services being held in the Baptist church, and conducted by Rev. E. E. Duley. Mr. Snelson was 59 years, 4 months and 20 days old. He was born at Cook's Station, Mo., June 10, 1849. He came to Washington in November of 1903. In early life he unitied with the Cumberland Presbyterian church, and he was a member of the Masonic order. Eleven children survive Mr. Snelson, besides his wife. With the exception of C. O. Snelson, who is a resident of Portland, all of the children live in Chehalis. Mrs. A.E. Below (Belew) and Mrs. C. Angel are daughters. Mr. Snelson's mother live in Indiana,(Missouri?) and three brothers and three sisters remain.
