Cora was born June 19, 1904 in Riverside Calif. to Walter A. and Flora D. (Moore) Wiggins. She was the second child and oldest daughter. Her older brother Earl died in 1905 3 weeks shy of his 3rd birthday of Spinal Meningitis. She was older sister to Raymond, born in 1908, Ralph, born 1912, and Lorna born in 1922.
On June 30th 1922 two weeks after turning 18 yrs old and graduating from high school Cora married Robert "Bob" Baisley. Cora and Bob had known each other since their childhood and had attended elementary, jr high and high school together. In May 1923 their oldest child, a son, Robert Walter Denton Baisley was born. Followed by a second son Ronald Eugene Baisley in June 1931 And a daughter Lois Lorraine Baisley in June 1932. ( Ronald was born June 19th on Cora's 27th birthday.) By the time of Ronald and Lois' birth Cora, Bob and Bobbie had resettled in Pasadena Calif. In 1936 the family would then move into what would be the home Cora would live in for the rest of her life on Hellman Ave. in Alhambra Calif. Over the course of a few years Bob remodeled and expanded the house into the home that Cora would love and take great pride in. Camping and fishing were activities Bob and Cora enjoyed greatly. Square dancing get togethers was also an activity they enjoyed.

The decade of the 1950s was a sad and difficult time for Cora. Nov. 28 1951 her youngest son and middle child Ronald was killed in motorcycle accident down the street from the house at the age of 20. Ronald had left the house minutes earlier when a neighbor came over to tell Cora and Bob about the crash. Sept 1955 Cora's dad Walter passed away at the age of 84. Although his death was not a total surprise, it left Cora to watch out for her mom Flora. Sept 23. 1957 was the day Cora's life was devastated. Her beloved husband Bob died that afternoon of a massive heart attack. Bob had not been feeling well that day. His son in law Mort took him to the doctor's. He was told he was experiencing an asthma attack. When he got home he went to lay down. Cora found him died in bed when she went to check on him an hour later. She called an ambulance. But he was declared deceased at home. She and Bob had known, liked, then loved each other since Bob was 6 yrs and Cora was 4 yrs. They had been married a short 35 yrs. After Bob's death Cora had to learn to drive. She had to learn to do a lot of things that were usually left to the man of that generation to do, In 1959 another heartache was to affect Cora and the family. One of Cora's granddaughter's, Mort and Lois' 4th daughter Kris, died in Nov. at the age of 5 weeks from what was then classified as a pancreatic disorder. (Years later when another granddaughter, Kelli was diagnosed with the same illness it was called Cystic Fibrosis, Kelli passed away in 1993) After Bob passed away Cora's daughter Lois and family moved in with her to help out. At this time that included Mort and their two daughters Jef and Kyle. While staying there over the next 3 years two more granddaughters would be born, Lori and Kris. The house was bustling again. In 1960 Cora's son Bobbie having gone through a divorce moved into the house with his two boys, Danny and Robbie. It was decided that Lois and her growing family would move into Bobbie's house. Bobbie would move in with Cora so she could help care for Danny and Robbie then ages 9 and 5. Bob and Cora were faithful members of Granada Park Methodist Church in Alhambra for a number of years. After Bob's death Cora continued to attend serving on a number committees and out reach programs. This church was very special to Cora because not only was she a member, but Bob also helped build the beautiful wood ceiling and steeple. Cora was a wonderful piano player. Although she like to play just for herself, she would periodically play for the enjoyment of her grandchildren. One of her favorite songs was "I'll be seeing you." which she had played at Bob's funeral.Weekly barbecue hamburger dinners at her place was a must. Cora was an excellent cook. Even when someone tried to duplicate her recipes, it just did not taste the same as her's. At Christmas time she would always make sure that under the tree was packed full of gifts for the grandchildren. Cora busied herself after Bob's death with raising Danny and Robbie, visiting with family and friends and caring for her mom Flora until Flora's death in 1979 at the age of 96. The last few years of Cora's life were quite. Danny and Robbie were grown with families of their own. And Bobbie had remarried and moved on also. She greatly looked forward to her weekly visits from her daughter Lois, grandchildren and now great grandchildren. The last couple years of Cora's life were sadly taken over by Alzheimers and cancer. Cora can be described like a well baked cookie. A little hard and crispy on the outside. But warm and soft on the inside. A twinkle would always came to her beautiful blue eyes at the mention of her Bob.
At the time of her death she was survived by her son Bobbie, daughter Lois, 8 grandchildren, multiple great grandchildren, her brother Ralph, nieces and nephews and numerous friends.
Someone once said "Cora died the day Bob died. It just took her body 30 years to follow." In those 30 years Cora did have a full busy life with family and friends and of course her two beloved cats Lily and Candy. But not a day didn't go by that she wished she could have done all those things with her Bob.

I'll find you in the morning sun
and when the night is new.
I'll be looking at the moon,
but i'll be seeing you.
