Kris passed away at the Children's Hospital in Los Angeles California, suffering from Cystic Fibrosis at the age of 5 weeks. Her death certificate lists the cause of death as pancreatic disorder. It was years later the illness was referred to as Cystic Fibrosis. Kris was in and out of the hospital during her short life. This picture of Kris was the only one taken of her.
At the time of her death Kris was survived by her parents and 3 sisters, Jef, Kyle and Lori. Two more sisters, Traci and Kelli, were born after her death.
Youngest sister Kelli Dee Brown also died from Cystic Fibrosis June 1, 1993 at the age of 25 yrs.
Oldest sister Jef Lynn Lawson died March 13 2013 after a 6 year battle with cancer at the age of 57.
