Walter Clyde Wright Jr., 93, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 15, 2011.

Walter was born on June 21, 1918, in Cement, California, to Walter Clyde Wright and Pearl Lambert Wright and was the youngest of four children.

Walter is a World War II Veteran who served in the 7th Infantry Division of the U.S. Army between 1941 and 1945. He worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad for 37 years and resided in Fairfield, California, his entire life. He was an avid science buff who was passionate about pursuing his Theory of Gravity and how it affects celestial bodies in the universe. In his later years, Walter taught electronics at Armijo Adult Education and Napa Junior College.

For many years Walter ran a "Space & Science Museum" in his backyard & room. He is author of the book: Gravity Is A Push.

Walter was married to Viva Downer Wright and is survived by his two children, Timothy Wright of Burbank, California, and Thomas Wright of Las Vegas, Nevada; two grandchildren, Katie Wright and Matthew Wright of Las Vegas, Nevada; daughter-in-law Carol Embry Wright of Las Vegas, Nev., as well as longtime companion Darlene Brown of Fairfield, California.

There was a viewing on Thursday, Sept. 22, 2011, 2 p.m. through 5 p.m. at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home in Fairfield. A private burial service was held at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery. (In Dixon, CA)

Walter built his sons a motor car running on a washing machine motor. I spent many a day riding in parades Tim or Tom being dressed as a Groom, myself or a sister dressed as a Bride. On the back of the little car would be a sign: RENO OR BUST. Such Fun !
