"The entire community has been saddened since our last meeting in that our Heavenly-Father has chosen to take home to himself little Bert Aldrich--one whom everyone young and old loved and admired, and there is not a child in the community that will be so missed. He was so polite to the old and so tender and careful toward the young that in our homes we feel that the guardian angel of our little ones had gone forever -- gone but not forgotten. Our sympathy and love goes out to the father and mother and the brothers and sisters in their hour of sorrow. Also the grand-father who misses so very much the cheery ways of this little one he so much loved. Loved ones and all let us not forget to turn to God and his word while our hearts are yet pierced and open from sorrow -- He tells us that where our treasure is there will your heart be. Also, let us look heavenward and to-day while we hear His voice harden not our hearts. We know that this dear one is safe with Jesus and waiting that He might draw His loved ones to meet Him where there will be no more death -- neither sorrow nor crying."

Burt died of Diphtheria.
