He was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil where he lived most part of his life. Younger of two sons of Giulio Maria Frederico De Grossi and Amélia Ruisecco De Grossi, his parents moved to Victória, capital of Espírito Santo State. There, his mother died victim of a strong heart attack on may 20, 1919. During 1920`s his family moved back to Rio de Janeiro where he met Jandyra Saluz Meira, getting married with her on october 14, 1931. The couple had two children, Alberto (elder) and Sergio (younger).
By the end of 1940`s and beginning of 1950`s, he worked as a partner in a society of a construction company named CONFEDERAL which erected two buildings, the tallests at the time (22 floors each) called Aquitânia and Confederal at Presidente Vargas Avenue (shown on the left and right sides respectively on the second picture in the right, up to down). This company went out of business in the middle of the 1950`s and he started working as a bank accountant until gets retired in 1967.
He passed away at Ordem Terceira da Penitência Hospital in the same city he was born.
Cause of death: heart attack.
