Gorius/Schwartz/Tiefenbach Family Cemetery

I have been accumulating family history for the Gorius/Schwartz/Tiefenbach families over the past couple of years.The majority of these families migrated to Western Canada from east central Europe and the UK in search of farmland once Saskatchewan was declared a province in 1905. I marvel at their strength and determination, especially the women, to obtain and develop their homesteads and raise their children and tend a home under such harsh conditions.Many of the men were former lead or coal miners and worked in these unforgiving environments in order to put bread on the table as well as save for the eventual purchase of land.Their strength and determination gives our current generation the impetus to continue on in the face of modern day challenges and I think often of all the sacrifices they made for my eventual benefit.
