6. Catherine Plott (c. 1772 to c. 1840) married Husband (1) Robert Lee (c. 1770 to c. after August 7, 1820) on 2-26-1774 Cabarrus County, NC. The Bondsman for Catherine's marriage to Robert Lee was her father, George Plott.According to census, they had three sons and three daughters. The sons were: Elias Lee: Tombstone August 4, 1797 to August 3, 1884; Buried Haywood County, NC; Census for 1880 Elias was reported as 83 years old. North Carolina, Marriage Index, 1741-2004, Catherine Hilock (? Spelling) on February 23, 1823, Cabarrus County, County Court Records at Concord, NC. Catherine was alive for the 1870 Census. She must have died during the 1870s, as on the 1880 Census Elias has a second wife Mary M.Culpepper Lee: Born Circa 1801-1810 to Death 1849; North Carolina, Estate Files, 1663-1979, Cabarrus County (1849), Documents his wife Mary. Culpepper Lee in the North Carolina, Marriage Index, 1741-2004, Mary Ferguson, married January 3, 1828. On the 1840 Census Culpepper was recorded on the same page with his brother, Elias Lee. Ergo, there was a Culpepper Lee (died in Cabarrus County, NC) and an Elias Lee (buried in Haywood County, NC); two distinct brothers.James I. Lee: On September 17, 1836, Catherine (Plott-Lee) Baugh, provides a written authorization to “The Clerk of the Court of Please & Quarter for Lincoln County, You will please to pay to my son James I. Lee the Ballances due me from the estate of Elias Plott (for George Plott's estate). . .” Remember, Elias Plott was an Executor for George Plott’s Last Will and TestamentAt this time, the daughters names are Unknown. Robert Lee is found on the 1800, 1810 and 1820 U.S. Census. On the 1810 U.S. Census, it is observed that Robert Lee's name is the name right above Catherine's brother, Isaac Plott.
