Mr. Robert Grady Boyd of Jonesboro (formerly of Fairburn) passed away December 29, 2010. He retired from Southern Bell as a plant manager, served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jonesboro. Mr. Boyd is survived by his wife of 75 years, Lucile R. Boyd of Jonesboro; daughters, Lucy Clark and her husband, John of Jonesboro; Becky Gardner and her husband, Bobby of Jonesboro; son, Robert J. (Bob) Boyd and his wife, Annette of Lawrenceville; brother, Alfred Boyd and his wife, Janie of Fairburn; 9 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 31, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of Parrott Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Strevel and Rev. Irvin Pearre officiating. Interment to follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park.
