Mrs. Iola B. Porteus, 90, Warsaw Route 3, died at 12:35 p.m. Saturday at Coshocton County Memorial hospital, where she was admitted on Friday.
She was born Sept. 19, 1884 in Guernsey County, the daughter of John and Roxanna Bowman Blair. Nov. 21, 1917, she married Leslie Porteus. He died May 15, 1962.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Francis (Irene) Buxton, Warsaw Route 3; one son, Blair Porteus, Coshocton Route 2; 10 grandchildren; two brothers, Wilmer Blair, West Lafayette and Harry Blair, Canton; two sisters, Mrs. Mabel Lapp, Coshocton Route 1 and Mrs. Ruth Kreis, Ashland. Deceased are one brother, one sister, two daughters, one grand-daughter, one half-brother and one half-sister.
She was a member of the Presbyterian Church and a charter of the Franklin Grange.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Dawson Funeral Home with the rev. Robert Millspaugh officiating. Burial will be in Franklin Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and until time of services Monday.
