Jeanette (Richmeier) Wideman, 50, Lakin, formerly of WaKeeney, died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012, at Via Christi-St. Francis Hospital, Wichita. She was born Jan. 18, 1962, in Hays to Edwin Joseph and Agnes Armilda (Flax) Richmeier.

She attended grade school in Ellis and went on to graduate from Morland High School in 1980. She earned her associate's degree in business and accounting from Fort Hays State University. She was a tax preparer at H&R Block.

Survivors include a son, Timmy Wideman, Lakin; her parents; two brothers, Kenny Richmeier and Jim Richmeier, both of WaKeeney; three sisters, Judi Feldt, Hoxie, Shirley Eichman, Fort Myers, Fla., and Cathy Conrady, Lakin; and a granddaughter.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Anthony Catholic Church, St. Peter; burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Schmitt Funeral Home, WaKeeney. A vigil will be at 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to Jeanette Wideman Memorial Fund (to help with granddaughter Tynslee's education) in care of the funeral home.
