Mr. Britt was born October 15, 1932, in Andrews, a son of the late Paul Britt and the late Cindy Ethridge Britt.
He was a member of Screven Baptist Church, a member of the Keystone Sunday School Class, and a member of American Legion Post 114. He was a US Navy veteran. He had retired from International Paper Company.
Mr. Britt was survived by three brothers, Jack (Shirley) Britt of Jackson, NC, Lewis "Louie" (Becky) Britt of Georgetown, and Robert (Jeannette) Britt of Nesmith; a sister, Daisy Joyner of Nashville, NC; a special aunt, Nora Lawrence of Georgetown; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Don (Oleane) O'Quinn of Georgetown.
He was predeceased by a brother, Happy Britt.
The funeral, officiated by the Rev. Jackson Williams, was Sunday, November 4, 2012, at Screven Baptist Church.
Burial, directed by Graham Funeral Home, followed in Piney Forest Cemetery.
