Mrs. Linda Beasley Aycock, age 66, died Thursday, November 1, 2012, at the Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Facility following a brief illness. The Statesboro native was a 1964 graduate of Statesboro High School and graduated from cosmetology school. She lived in Savannah from 1964 until 1982, moving to Jenkins County. In 1995, she returned to her family home in Bulloch County where she resided until her death. Linda was a homemaker, remaining at home while raising her children. She later was employed with Bi-Lo in Statesboro for many years. She was of the Primitive Baptist faith. Mrs. Aycock was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Mollie Deal Beasley and a brother, Edgar Beasley.
Surviving are her husband, J.M. Aycock, Jr. of Statesboro; two daughters and sons-in-law, Shai and Joe English of Swainsboro and Shelli and Matt Malphrus of Statesboro; two sons and daughters-in-law, Matthew and Joni Aycock of Statesboro and Ashley and Marcie Aycock of Savannah; seven grandchildren, Kaidy, Kristen, Collin, Abby, Jordan, Jes and Kendall and a granddaughter due to be born in February, Ember; a brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Sue Beasley of Statesboro and a sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Bud Hughes of Port Wentworth. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will be Saturday from 1:00pm until 2:00pm at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home in Statesboro.
Services will be at 2:00pm in the chapel of the funeral home.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Ogeechee Area Hospice, P.O. Box 531, Statesboro, Ga. 30459.
