Byron J. Marshall, 95, of Reedsburg, died Friday, July 1, 2011, in his home.
He was born on March 9, 1916, in Cazenovia, the son of J.J. and Nora Miller Marshall. On April 25, 1945, he was married to the former Evelyn E. Jackson.
Byron farmed for many years until his retirement. He also worked at the Cazenovia Creamery and Carr Valley Cheese factory. Byron will be remembered for his love of horses.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn; two children, Ronald Marshall of LaValle and Donna Marshall of Reedsburg; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Donald (Margaret) Marshall of Baraboo; three sisters-in-law, Hope Marshall of Fort Worth, Texas, Bernice Hoppenrath of Rice Lake and Regina Puhl of Reedsburg; one brother-in-law, Robert (Judy) Jackson of Mount Tabor; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Rhonda Marshall; a great-granddaughter, Laramie Fry; two sisters, Arlene Marshall and Inez Kraemer; and three brothers, Jimmie, Gaylord and Ivan Marshall.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. today at United Methodist Church in Reedsburg, with Pastor Marvin Singh and Pastor Joeretta Marshall officiating. Interment will be in the Cazenovia Cemetery.
