Services will be held Saturday for John F. Cannon of 2123 N. Oakland St., Arlington resident, since 1930, who died unexpectantly Wednesday. He was 61.
An employee of the District of Columbia Transit Co. for 42 years, he retired in March 1966.
He was a member of the Amigamated Transit Workers Union, Local No 689, Cherrydale Masonic Lodge, Arlington Royal Arch Lodge No 35, the Arlington Commancery, No. 29, and Kena Temple.
He was also a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Arlington, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday.
Mr. Cannon is survived by his wife, Ruth C; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Louise Perry of Sterling Park and Mrs. Margaret C. Landers of Annandale, and by eight grandchildren. Friends may call at the Arlington Funeral Home, Arlington from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today. Interment will be in National Memorial Park.
