Mr. T.J. Hodges was born May 24, 1930 in Green County, Kentucky to the late William Lewis Hodges and Mildred Marshall Hodges. He departed this life Monday, August 27, 2012 at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital in Greensburg, KY, having attained the age of eighty-two years, three months and three days.

Mr. Hodges had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a life-long member of the Sand Lick Separate Baptist Church. He was a Ky. State Fire Marshall and retired from the Ky. State Highway Department and was a farmer. He was a United States Navy Veteran, having served during the Korean Conflict. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death January 5, 2012 by his wife, Louise Durrett Hodges. He is preceded in death by one brother: Harry Lewis Hodges.

He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law: Doug and Kathy Hodges and two daughters and sons-in-law: Karen and Terry Paxton and Jennifer and Coy Scott, all of Summersville, one sister: Betty Lou Lile of Greensburg ,one brother-in-law: Calvin "Toad" Durrett and Delia of Summersville and two sisters-in-law: Linda Hodges of Summersville and Adele and Joe Martin of Louisville, six grandchildren: Nick and Diann Paxton, Anne & Jason Beard, D.J. Hodges, Drue Hodges, Cynthia Scott and Cody Scott, four great- grandchildren: Braeden Paxton, Brylee Paxton, Jasey Beard and Kaylee Shofner and three step great-grandchildren: Kyle, Cody and Kane Wilson, plus a host of other relatives and friends.
