KENNETH CARL REYNOLDS, 53 years of age of Grundy, VA passed away Thursday, July 22, 2004 at Buchanan General Hospital, Grundy, VA. Born in Tazewell County, May 18, 1951 he was the son of the late Orlendo Carl Reynolds and Doris Ryan Reynolds. He was a former employee of Goodyear/Appalachian Tire where he worked for 28 years, attended the Harman Memorial Baptist Church, enjoyed playing music, loving husband, father and grandfather.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother: Timothy Eric Reynolds.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years: Regina Gay Waters Reynolds of Grundy, VA; two daughters: Misty Regina Renee Reynolds and Erica Megan Nicole Reynolds both of Grundy, VA; one son: Kenneth Carl Reynolds, II of Centreville, VA; one sister: Teresa R. Vandyke and husband Randy of Grundy, VA; one brother: Craig Ryan Reynolds and wife Vicky of Servierville, TN; one nephew: Collin Reynolds of Servierville, TN. He is also survived by two grandchildren: Jayden Tyler Ryan Compton and Payton Alexander Cade Compton.
Funeral services for Kenneth Carl Reynolds will be held Saturday, July 24, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. at the Shortridge-Ramey Funeral Home Chapel, Grundy, VA with Pastor Willard Owens officiating. Burial will follow in the Mountain Valley Memorial Park at Big Rock, VA.
Active Pallbearers will be Family and Friends. Honorary Pallbearers will be Management and Staff of Goodyear/Appalachian Tire, Dr. Jackie Briggs and Grover Stiltner.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home after 6:00 p.m. Friday evening. Services will be held Friday at 7:00 p.m.
