Catharan King Clarkson, age 78, of Old Ivy Lane, Gainesville, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2005, at the Bell-Minor Home following an extended illness.
Memorial services will be held Sunday, Sept. 11, 2005, at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Summerville. The family will receive friends at the church after the service from 4 to 6 p.m.
Mrs. Clarkson was born in Alabama, but had lived in Hall County for the past few years. She was the daughter of the late Lilburn and Mamie King. She was a retired schoolteacher and a member of First United Meth-odist Church in Summerville.
Contributions may be made to the Peter Boney Scholarship Fund at First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 180, Summerville, GA 30747.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Mamie and David Coker III, Gainesville; and grandchildren, Catie Coker, Caroline Coker and Jackson Coker, all of Gainesville.
