Filomena R. "Fil" Castora, 84, of Wickliffe, passed away Nov. 5, 2012, at University Hospital in Cleveland.
Born Feb. 25, 1928, in Cleveland, she had lived in Collinwood before moving to Wickliffe 32 years ago.
Fil loved polka music and polka dancing. She also volunteered many hours at Holy Redeemer Church.
She had worked as a medical secretary for 25 years, retiring in 2000.
Survivors are her husband, Donald; children, Diane Sarley, James P. (Mary) Ryan, Karen (Michael) Zader, Janet (Anthony) Lopez and Laura Ryan; stepchildren, Nedra (John) Schaefer, Donna Castora and Virginia (Rich) Meyers; 16 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and brothers-in-law, Mike Iliano and Frank Petrilli.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Vincent Paradiso; and sisters, Lucy Iliano and Candida Petrilli.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, at Holy Redeemer Church, 15712 Kipling Ave., Cleveland, OH 44110. The Rev. Martin F. Polito will officiate. Interment will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
