Mr. Leonard Denton Milby, son of the late Irvin Milby and Mary Will Price Milby, was born April 14, 1922 in Green County, Ky. and departed this life August 9, 1977 at his home in the Pike View Community in Hart County, Ky. He was 55 years, 3 months, and 26 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Aetna Grove Baptist Church at the time of his death. Mr. Milby was united in marriage on January 24, 1941 to Katherine Calhoon, who survives. To this union were born one daughter and two sons: Mrs. Deretha Marcum of Louisville, Ky.; Justin Eudell Milby and Elton Dale Milby, both of Magnolia, Ky. Three brothers and three sisters survive: Mrs. Christine Bloyd, Nebraska; Margie Milby, Hodgenville, Ky.; Mary Lois Despain, Greensburg, Ky.; Hugh Milby and William Finis (John) Milby, both of Mt. Sherman, Ky.; and Rev. Irvin Milby, Jr. of Summersville, Ky. Four grandchildren survive along with a host of other relatives and friends. The remains were at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home where funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m. cdt, Thursday, August 11, 1977 with burial in the Wilson Cemetery. Rev. Milton Judd and Rev. Richard Robertson officiated. Pallbearers were Darryl Enlow, Ron Reynolds, Wilbert Bennett, Winfred Berry, Don Reynolds and Steve Riggs.
