Mrs. Mary Meighan Cameron died recently at her home in Shawnigan Lake. B.C. from a heart ailment. Mrs. Cameron was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward J. Cross, long-time residents of the Spiritwood district.

Funeral service was held in the Spintwood school hall with student minister: Ronald Macquire of Christ's Anglican Church officiating.

Mrs. Cameron was born at Aberdeen in 1924 and came to Spiritwood when she was nine.

She attended school at the Willow Flatts district. In 1944, she joined the Canadian Army, and following her marriage the next year she and her husband moved to Shawnigan Lake.

She is survived by her widower, Alan of the RCAF; three children; two sisters; and five brothers, all of Spiritwood.
