Mrs. Linda S. Strow, 56, of Ocala, passed away peacefully Monday afternoon at Prestige Manor III in Belleview after a 5 year battle with Alzheimer's Disease. A native of Tampa, she moved to Ocala in 1974. Prior to her retirement, she had a 32 year career as a deputy with the Marion County Sheriff's Office. During that time she served as a crime scene technician, the school resource office at Belleview Middle School, and at her retirement she was the office manager for the Civil Division of the MCSO. For the last 25 months of her life she received the greatest of care from the loving staff at Prestige Manor III. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Dennis J. Strow, her daughter Tiffany Strow, son Jonathan Strow, her sister Kim Self, all of Ocala, sister Mary (Mike) Hoadley, Simi Valley, CA, and her brother Don Self, Hooks, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Hazel Self. Visitation for Mrs. Strow will be held from 5-7 PM on Thursday, November 8, 2012, at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Friday, November 9, at the funeral home, with Pastor Joel Snellgrove officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memorial Park.
