Actor. Born Raymond Benard, best known as "Crash" Corrigan. He played in movies such as "Trail of the Silver Spurs," "Wrangler's Roost" and "Thunder River Feud." Also, from 1940 to 1943 he played in 20 of the 24 "The Range Busters" series. He began his career as a physical fitness instructor later doing stunts and small parts. In 1936, he got starring roles in two Republic serials and became known as "Crash." He worked at both Republic and Monogram Pictures. In 1937, he purchased 1,500 acres in Simi Valley, CA. He turned this land into a movie ranch constructing Western sets for cowboy films and TV shows. He called it Corriganville. In 1949, he opened his ranch to the public for Western-type entertainment including stagecoach rides, live music and a saloon. Film and TV personalities would often be there for photos and autographs. He died from a heart attack at 74.
