June Elizabeth Ringhouse, 82 years old, went home to be with Jesus on November 2, 2012. She passed away at her daughter's house with her family surrounding her.

She was born in Mount Vernon, Washington on June 6, 1930.

She lived in Skagit Valley most of her life and worked hard in the fields planting crops and she worked in the canneries until an on the job accident. She retired from that sort of work and devoted most of her time to her yard and family.

She loved raising roses and many other flowers. She could identify almost any type. Her yard was very pretty.
June was known to always have the coffee pot on and she never new a stranger. She was a lady with a fast wit about her and very stubborn. June loved the outdoors and all the beauty of the changing seasons. She always helps anyone who came to her door, and would give you her last penny if you needed it.

June loved her dog Phebe. Phebe was a constant companion to June. It was an instant bond when they saw each other. Phebe never left June's side in all these years. Phebe will be laid to rest with June on Friday.

In her early days she loved to paint, go out dancing, play dice games and card games. She will be missed by all, and forever in our hearts.

June is survived by her three daughters, Alice Kester (and husband Phillip) of Mount Vernon, Carol Ritter (and husband Carrol) of Granit Falls, and Mary Martin of Wash Burn, Missouri; three sons, Marvin Bryant (and wife Kelly) of Sedro-Woolley, Michael Crapson of Ohio, and James Bryant (and wife Cheryl) of Black Diamond, Washington; as well as numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

June is preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Wanda Wright; brother-in-law, Jordan Wright; a daughter, Linda Hill; a son, John Crapson; a grandson, Ricky Lee Hill; and a granddaughter, Chelsea Scott.

A funeral service will be held Friday, November 9, 2012 at 11:00 am at Kern Funeral Home. A graveside will follow at the Mount Vernon Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the care of Kern Funeral Home.
