New Waterford Vivian Harriet Rupert, 89 of 3317 Sycamore Street died Sunday at the Blossom Nursing Center. She was born Dec 30, 1914 in Columbiana a daughter of Edward and Margaret Renkenberger Mitchell, and had lived in the area all of her life. She had been a nurse for Doctors Harry & Lee Bookwalter. She was involved with her husband, Wayne, and her son , in the development of Valley Acres allotment in New Waterford and was very active in the community. Mrs Rupert was a member of the Grace United Church of Christ in Columbiana, taught Sunday School, and was active in the choir and led the Bell Choir. She was Past Worthy Matron and a member of East Palestine Chapter #381 OES. She is survived by a daughter, of Columbiana; a son of New Waterford; four grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Two sisters, Xenia Reagan and Winifred White preceded her in death. Serviced will be conducted at the Warrick Kummer funeral Home with the Rev Michael Boehm officiating. Burial will follow in the Columbiana Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, where the Eastern Star will conduct a service at 6:45 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society. 10/31/04
