Atlantic City, December 12 – Mrs. Maria Ruffu, 84, widow of Anthony M. Ruffu, died Tuesday in her home, 6 S. Cedar Grove avenue, Margate.
Her late husband was mayor of Atlantic City from 1924 to June 23, 1930, when he was killed in an automobile accident. She was born in Italy and lived in this area for more than 60 years.
Surviving are three sons, Anthony M. Jr., William J. and Charles, all of Margate; three daughters, Mrs. Eleanor Wiederwax, of Atlantic City, and Mrs. Marie McFarland and Mrs. Lillian Camarota, of Margate; nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and a brother, Frank Siracusa, of Atlantic City.
High requiem Mass will be celebrated Friday at 9:30 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church, Margate.
