Mr. William J. Bebout, for some years past a resident of Palatka Heights, died at his home Friday night, following an extended illness. The deceased was 79 years of age, and was from Pennsylvania, where he was for many years engaged in the drug business. He was a Union soldier throughout the Civil War. His daughter, Mrs. S. R. Leiper, from Pennsylvania, was with him during his final illness.
The funeral was held Saturday afternoon from the chapel of Director W. C. Davis, Dr. J. D. Sibert, the Methodist pastor, officiating. The interment was in Oak Hill East Cemetery. (Times-Herald Obituary dtd Friday, 24 Nov 1922.)
