Mrs. Deliah Jane (Miller) Bonsell, 72, 6/4/1925 208 Shippen St. Tyrone
From the Tyrone Herald: Mrs. George Bonsell died onTuesday evening, 8/4/1925, at her home on Shippen Street. She had suffered the past four years from complication of diseases. Mrs. Lilia Jane Bonsell was born in Half Moon Valley, Centre County on 10/30/1854. On July 22, 1874, she was united in marriage with George Bonsell at Tyrone.
She is survived by her husband and the following sons and daughters: Mrs. Elizabeth Robinson of Akron, Ohio; John Henry of Thomastown; Mrs. Annie Alley of Tipton; George W. of Altoona; Miss Elsie Evans of Orchard Crossing; Edward R. of Tyrone; and James C. of Orchard Crossing. She is also survived by three sisters: Mrs. Martha Settle of Harrisburg; Mrs. Ellsworth Nevling of Hollidaysburg; and Mrs. Ellie Keith of Johnstown. She is also survived by 24 grandchildren, & seven great grandchildren.
Mrs. Lilia Bonsell was a great home woman, and one that found a lot of joy in doing little kindly motherly acts for those she loved and her neighbors and friends. She was a good woman and a member of the United Brethern Church. She spent most of her life in this immediate area, where she was respected and held in high esteem by many. Funeral services will be held at the United Brethern Church on Friday afternoon at 3:00 pm, and interment will be at EastLawn Cemetery in Tyrone.
